Get to know me!
What inspired you to become a tattoo artist?
Since early childhood, drawing has been my number one hobby. While I never went to art school, I've always been self-taught. My artistic journey began with graffiti, where I excelled compared to my crew members.
At 18, I got my first tattoo from a friend who was also a graffiti artist. Inspired by my drawing skills, my friends encouraged me to try tattooing. Fortunately, the artist who tattooed me sold me his used coil machines, and so began my self-education in tattooing.
My biggest artistic inspirations come from vintage paintings, tattoo designs by legendary American tattoo artists of the 19th and 20th centuries, historical photos and books on tattoos, and Japanese Ukiyo-e engravings (a popular art form that emerged in the second half of the 17th century).
How long have you been tattooing?
I've been tattooing since 2018.
What is your preferred style of tattooing? Do you specialize in any particular type of tattoo?
I specialize in American traditional tattoos and graphic styles in general. I love everything about traditional tattooing, including ornamental and tribal styles, traditional Japanese and other oriental styles, and of course, American old school.
What are some of your interests outside of tattooing?
I'm passionate about travelling, music, and outdoor activities. I've visited around 15 countries and even tattooed on three continents! I enjoy collecting unique, vintage items from my travels and am fascinated by Chinese tea culture.
